What is Chinese herbal medicine?

Chinese herbal medicine is an ancient system of health care that has undergone continual development over the centuries as the causes of illness that afflict mankind have evolved. This process continues today with the development of modern medical diagnostic techniques and knowledge. In its country of origin it is not an alternative form of therapy, but is used in the state hospitals alongside modern medicine.

The herbal medicine includes all Oriental traditions emanating from south-east Asia that originally derived in China. Practitioners may work within a tradition which comes from Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan or Korea.

Chinese Medicine consists of herbal therapy, acupuncture, dietary therapy, exercise and lifestyle management. Health is more than just the absence of disease, and Chinese Medicine recognizes this with its unique capacity to harmonize and reestablish the imbalance in our bodies that is caused by diseases.

 

What can herbal medicine treat?

Chinese herbal medicine can understand and treat many forms of ill health. The results that can be expected and the length of treatment required will depend on the severity of the disease, its duration and the general health of the patient. Chinese herbal medicine is probably most renowned in the west for its effects on skin disease, gynecology, digestive complaints, respiratory conditions, allergies, disorders of the immune system, pain, psychological problems, children's diseases and addiction.

 

Who can have treatment?

Chinese herbal medicine can be used by people of any age or constitution. Children and pregnant women can be, and commonly are, cared for by Chinese medicine.

 

Are the herbs safe?

Chinese medicine has been used as front line medicine by the majority of the world's population since before recorded history, and is still the most widely utilize medical system in the world today. Adverse reactions to Chinese herbs are extremely rare and are negligible when compared to those commonly produced by pharmaceutical drugs.

 

Endangered species

Dr. Ren (China) has a strict policy prohibiting the use of any type of endangered species of plants and does not condone the usage of these plants either.

 

What are the herbs like?

Herbs are now available in a number of formats, both traditional and modern. The traditional method is to boil a mixture of dried herbs to make a tea, or to use pills. Dr. Ren (China) only prescribes his herbal formula through a pill form or chewable tablets only. The chewable herbs will certainly taste unusual at first to anyone who has not tried them before, but the vast majority of people get used to the taste very quickly. What are the ingredients in Dr. Ren's (China) herbal formula?

The ingredients list is proprietary information, however we are allowed to tell you that the constituents are 100% natural. His herbal formula is also completely hand made and home made, which further increases its value.

 

Should I have a special diet if I have hepatitis or cirrhosis?

Dr. Ren (China) recommends all clients to avoid spicy foods and to have a diet to include lean protein. Clients should avoid products with additives and should have food as natural as possible. In addition, clients should also eat plenty of fruits and vegetables - organic produces are the best. Clients are also advised to drink plenty of water too.

 

How much is an office visit and the price for the herbal formulas?

All office information can be found in the CONTACT page. An office visit is $100 (USD) and by appointment only and phone consultations are $100 (USD). For phone consultations, the patient must have all required laboratory reports, a liver biopsy, and completed patient registration forms prior to the consultation.

The herbal formula in pill form (2 week supply) is $100 (USD) and the chewable tablets (2 week supply) are $210 (USD). Clients must have a consultation visit first before ordering herbal medicine. If prospective client becomes a patient and orders medicine, the phone consultation fee or office visit fee of $100 will be waived.

 

Why are the consultation and herbal formulas so expensive?

Dr. Ren (China) spends at least 30-60 minutes on each client when he or she comes in for a consultation. He strongly recommends clients to have in-person consultations as opposed to via telephone because Dr. Ren (China) likes to be more personal with his clients. Also, all of Dr. Ren's herbal formula is hand made and home made, which makes it so valuable.
